Joel Jahnke - is a graduate of Bemidji State College in Minnesota and holds a graduate degree in Theatre from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He has taught at Northern State College in Aberdeen, South Dakota before moving to Montana in 1976. Since 1980, he has served as the Artistic Director of the nationally recognized Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, a professional theatrical touring company located in Bozeman. He is also a full Professor and Chairman of the Department of Media and Theatre Arts in Montana State University where he teaches directing, theatre production and acting Shakespeare. He has designed, directed and acted in more than 400 college and professional theatre productions. In addition to Shakespeare in the Parks, he has directed professionally for the Magic Circle Mime Company in Seattle, Washington, Greasy Joan and Company in Chicago and the Montana Repertory Theatre. |
Annette Procunier - has adjudicated more than 70 festivals in North America, Europe, Ireland and Japan in the past 18 years. Highlights include AACTFest in 1999 and 2003, the World Festival in Monaco in 2001 and in Halifax in 2003 as well as the Yakamo International Theatre Festival in Japan in 2004. She has many repeat engagements including the biannual Liverpool International Theatre Festival in Nova Scotia. Noted for her clarity and insight, Annette is adept at finding the key points in productions and assisting both the audience and participants to learn from her comments about them. As an award winning director and designer, Annette has worked extensively in community theatre for more than 30 years and serving on many boards both for professional and amateur companies. |
Bruce Tinker - joined the staff of Grad Rapids Civic Theatre as Executive and Artistic Director in July 1999, assuming leadership of the Theatre following Paul A. Dreher's 39-year tenure. His productions of Singing in the Rain (2001) and Sweeney Todd (2002) won Grand Awards for Outstanding Musical and Outstanding Direction. He is currently serving on the board of the Downtown Alliance and the Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids. From August 1991 - June 1999 Bruce worked for the Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre, Fargo, ND as Artistic Director until 1993 and Managing Artistic Director until 1999. He served on the Board of the American Association of Community Theatre from 1993-1999, including a term as Vice President for Long Range Planning. He has directed more than 60 productions in community, higher education and professional theatre and is also trained as a scenic and sound designer. |
